Mr. Jenkins is a member of SABR Negro Leagues Committee\, and the author of the book “Ted Strong\, Jr.: The Untold Story of an Original Harlem Globetrotter and Negro Leagues All-Star” which was published by Rowman & Littlefield Publishers (now Bloomsbury Publishers) in October 2016. Mr. Jenkins is married\, has three grown children\, three grandchildren and lives in Aurora\, IL.
